Progressive Dies

Turnkey progressive dies, 1-up and 2-up, 10 to 24 stations, for steel, HSLA, coated steel, 304L stainless and aluminum from 1.5 to 6 mm.

We take a progressive die from part data to production: strip layout, 3D die design, detailing, programming, machining, fitting, tryout and PPAP. Transfer, line and blanking dies are built the same way.

  • Strip layout and 3D die design with a full 2D detail package
  • 1-up and 2-up dies, 10 to 24 stations
  • Transfer, line and blanking dies
  • Tryout parts, PPAP samples and checking gauges

Piercing & Punching Dies

Multi-hole piercing, cam-pierce and hydro-punching dies with hydro-cam units for aluminum extrusions and tubes, up to 102" long.

Long aluminum extrusions and tubes need dies that pierce many holes in one hit without distorting the profile. We build cam and hydro-punching dies sized to the part, including very long tools.

  • Multi-hole and cam-pierce dies
  • Hydro-punching dies with hydro-cam units
  • Profiles supported along their full length
  • Dies up to 102" long

Die Refurbishment & Reverse Engineering

Full die rebuilds, with worn punches, pads and details rebuilt as CAD from scan data and compensated for sink and springback, plus engineering changes and new inserts.

When a die is worn, cracked or has no drawings, we bring it back. Worn details are scanned, rebuilt as CAD and compensated, then machined new. We also make die details and resharpen punches and die sections.

  • Teardown, inspection and repair plan
  • Reverse engineering from scan data or the worn part
  • Engineering changes and new inserts
  • Die details and resharpening of punches and die sections

Trim Dies

Nest and punch halves laid out, 3D CNC machined and assembled from your files, including repeat trim die programs and cut-off sections.

We lay out, 3D machine and assemble trim steels and nests from your surfaces, and run repeat trim die programs with consistent fit and clearance from die to die.

  • Nest and punch halves from your 3D data
  • 3D CNC machining of trim steels
  • Cut-off and trim sections
  • Repeat programs built to the same standard

Batch Production

Batch and repeat production of high-tolerance precision parts, held to tolerances as tight as 8 µm (0.008 mm).

Once a part is proven, we run it in batches with the same setup, program and inspection plan every time, in tool steel, aluminum, brass and engineering plastics like Delrin.

  • Prototype to repeat batch quantities
  • Tolerances as tight as 8 µm
  • Steel, aluminum, brass and engineering plastics
